With the General Election almost upon us, from what you already know and currently hear, when the result is known and confirmed, do you think the Politicians will lock onto and target a review of the Capital Gains Tax incentives for UK legal tender gold Britannias and Sovereigns? Your thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you.

There is a well established bullion dealer in London that will sell gold without the need for ID, up to £5000, obviously I can’t name them.

Do you publish the results of your pentests, or show who did the tests, when they were done, what the scope of the testing was, and how competent they were? From an outside perspective all bullion dealers claim to be secure and I can't see anything that sets them apart otherwise.

Interesting family history with the showman background. Has the family business name always been Chards or is that for the bullion business only? Before retiring recently i worked for a business that also had roots in the seaside arcade business then moved into fairground ride manufacturing.

Really good chat gents. Please Mr Chard, may I kindly request for you to review your UK postage charges? The majority of UK bullion investors and collectors want to deal with you as your competitors head towards a more corporate future.

I think it's a very different proposition selling high premium numismatics in an auction setting as an influencer, to stock languishing in a warehouse for an online dealer or bricks and mortar. Ive seen the same inventory sitting on websites for years, which isn't a good business model for anyone but the most brave. Whereas, the excitement of auctions, combined with a trusted face selling, moves units. In China, vast fortunes are made through this new social media technique. So much so that it's impacting not only retail outlets, but also website traffic, as buyers swap to buying through the cult of their favourite personality. My comment can be tempered by the fact that we're moving into tough times in terms of disposable incomes, where even existing stacks will be relinquished, as a disposable expediency to keep punters afloat.

Very interesting to hear how you got into the bullion market via searching out old pennies for a dealer. I envy you that, and would have enjoyed doing it myself.

Tried to sell chards a proof double sovereign ,,never been touched ,in a case ,he had same for sale £1200 they offerd scrap price 😮,,i bet hes a millionaire.,

Having dealt in coins for 50 yrs i can spot a fake 400yds away in a fog 😅

Bought 5 from sharps pixie ,london and what a mess they were ,looks like they had been hit with a hammer one was that worn it didnt even weighed the correct amount ,,i complained and they said people like them like that as there old 😮

Can I ask,when a dealer trades a quantity of silver Britannia coins and he’s vat registered are these coins plus vat or dealt on the margin scheme ?
